UPSC discussion: colonialism, education, and social reformers
Do you think that if european colonialism had not hit India, there would be the technology, social reforms such as caste reforms, and religious reforms as it is currently? Coz the dissemination of education by british to many castes(even if they wanted clerks) was a main reason for reformers like Phule, Ambedkar and others.

@ninabhi Gandhi didnt bring any emancipation for lower caste. Ambedkar criticized his methods a lot, saying merely changing the name to harijan is of no use and gandhi is only using lower caste for his political benefits.
