UPSC: Why is Lawrence Bishnoi custody restriction under BNSS 303 renewed?
In August 2023, the Home Ministry reportedly restricted Lawrence Bishnoi from being taken out of Sabarmati Jail for a year under Section 268 of the CrPC, now Section 303 of the BNSS. The order has reportedly been renewed annually. Can anyone explain the Modi government’s rationale behind repeatedly extending this order?
