International Day of the Girl Child 2026 theme on child marriage
Observed annually on 11 October, the International Day of the Girl Child draws attention to the rights, needs and aspirations of girls. The 2026 theme, “End child marriage and invest in girls’ rights!”, calls for renewed action to protect girls’ childhoods and ensure that every girl has the opportunity to learn, grow, make informed choices and realise her potential.
