If all Indians unanimously abolished the Constitution, would law allow it?
What if, tomorrow, every single citizen of India- freely, knowingly, unanimously, and without any coercion...voted to abolish the Constitution of India, with Parliament, every political party, every state government, and even the Supreme Court unanimously endorsing the decision? Would the Constitution permit its own abolition if every Indian unanimously demanded it, or would the constitutional institutions be bound to resist even the unanimous will of the people? Add ur perspectives.

Even unanimous public will cannot override the Constitution’s basic structure, agar aisa hota hai to vah Keval hypothetical situation hogi, not possible

@mjshetty-1257 But, if every institution agrees to it, what precisely stands tall against it in that situation? Forget basic structure as SC agrees to it.

Sure why not if every citizen agrees , constitution is made from people itself , hypothetically it's possible but practically not in India as diverse complex structure won't allow it as u know

@Lali There are so many provisions in our constitution which is not practical but it is there....all I am asking what would happen if this happens.

Article 368 doesn't have provisions to abolish it's own constitution, in preamble we the people of india.... HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION but if unanimously demanded by every citizen then it's possible to abolish maybe to create a new sovereign order

@lohit_03 Nope....something is missing.
